Please read these terms carefully before using Cam Scanner. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and the Cam Scanner development team ("Cam Scanner," "we," "our," or "us") governing your use of the Cam Scanner mobile application ("App").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
To use the App, you must be at least 13 years of age. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
The App is intended for personal and professional use by individuals. Use of the App on behalf of an organization is permitted, subject to these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your Android device(s) that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.

The App is available as a free download with a limited feature set, including up to 25 scans per month and basic PDF creation. No payment is required to use the Free tier.
Cam Scanner offers a Premium subscription that unlocks additional features including unlimited scans, OCR text recognition, digital signatures, invoice generation, and no watermarks. Premium subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis and are managed through Google Play Billing.
Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play according to their refund policies. For subscription-related issues, please contact our support team within 48 hours of the charge and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
The App enables you to capture, create, and store documents, signatures, invoices, and other content ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. We do not claim any ownership over your User Content.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of creating, storing, and sharing it. You represent and warrant that:

The App, including its design, graphics, code, trademarks, logos, and all other content (excluding User Content) is owned by Cam Scanner and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the App beyond the limited license granted herein.
The name "Cam Scanner," its logo, and associated marks are trademarks of Cam Scanner. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Cam Scanner is designed with a local-first architecture. Your documents and personal data are stored on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
OCR text recognition results are provided for convenience and may not be 100% accurate. Cam Scanner makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of OCR output. You are responsible for verifying OCR results before relying on them.
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or uninterrupted. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature thereof at any time with or without notice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CAM SCANNER, ITS DEVELOPERS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cam Scanner and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the App, including, but not limited to, your User Content, any use of the App contrary to these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may terminate or suspend your license to use the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to: Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If such negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, you agree that Cam Scanner may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where feasible, providing in-App notification.
Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App.
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications that are not owned or controlled by Cam Scanner. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
We encourage you to be aware when you leave the App and to read the privacy statements and terms of service of any third-party services you access.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cam Scanner with respect to your use of the App, and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties.
